2013 Condie The Gwen Heathcote Shiraz

Matured in a combination of new and used French and American oak for 15 months. Magnificent depth of colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Restrained aromas of liquorice and black cherries are overlaid by old leather with trailing dried herbs and spicy cedar. Still quite restrained with a tight compact mouthfeel and bright acidity the palate has flavours of black cherries and liquorice intermixed with leather, dried meats and pepper. Dry finish with firm grippy tannins. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, leather, dried meats and pepper.
Cellar 6-8 years.
