2013 Clare Wine Co. Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in 20% new French oak with the balance in 3 and 4 year old barriques for 12 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a very dark red to brick red hue. Nosing reveals blackcurrant aromas laced with hints of mint over lightly toasted vanillin cedar and spice. Medium to full bodied with ripe blackcurrant and choc mint flavours to the fore followed by toasty vanillin cedar and spice. Slightly dryish finish with fine grained but well built tannins. Aftertaste of spicy blackcurrant, subtle choc mint and toasty vanillin cedar.
Cellar 2-3 years.
