Bottle
$599.88 Dozen
Cellar: 8 - 10 Years (2024-2026)
ABV: 13.5%

Brilliant pale gold colour with golden edges and a very pale gold hue. Potent scents of honeyed apricots and tropical fruits bound from the glass with some sweet ripe pineapple, subtle toffee apple and spicy raisins also evident. Rich, lusciously textured flavours of honey, pineapple, apricot and ripe peaches decorate the palate followed by some delicate marmalade infusions and toffee apple. Whilst not as heavy or densely textured as the Lafaurie-Peyraguey it finishes fresher and possesses prodigious length. Exceptionally long aftertaste of honeyed peaches, apricots, dried pineapple, subtle marmalade and light toffee apple. A Sauternes of superb richness, precision and length.
Drink over the next 8-10 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other Reviews...
This is almost formed already, with lovely mouthfeel to the ginger cream, toasted hazelnut, orange curd, flan, apricot and glazed peach flavors. Long and refined, despite some very serious power in reserve. Great showing today.

The 2013 Guiraud has a generous bouquet of rich honeyed fruit interlaced with quince and hints of marmalade, though I would like to see more mineralite and tension by the time of bottling. The palate is well-balanced with a spice-tinged entry, touches of Seville orange and mandarin emerging with time. There is good depth here, fine density with plenty of sinew toward the saline-tinged finish.

This is tight and linear with dried-pineapple, honey and powdered mushroom character. Medium to full body, medium sweet and a light finish. Showing class for the vintage.
