2013 Buller Wines Balladeer Shiraz

Matured for 12 months in French and American oak hogsheads. Opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson red hue. Nosing reveals liquorice and black cherry aromas followed by toasty vanillin oak and spice notes. The palate is quite full bodied with black cherry and liquorice flavours overlaid by toasty oak and spicy pepper. Solidly built but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, spicy toasty oak and pepper.
Cellar 3-4 years.
