Semi translucent dark red colour with a brick red hue. Subtle violet and spicy red cherry aromas meet up with some raspberry, leather and cedar notes. Supplely textured the palate possesses excellent concentration and richness yet is quite graceful in the way it flows across the mouth. Ripe dark cherry and raspberry flavours overlay spicy leather, earthy cedar and subtle dried herbs with a dry spicy finish. Bright acidity and some what chewy tannins provide an excellent structural base. Very composed showing good depth with a long conclusion of spicy dark cherries, raspberries, subtle dried herbs, cedar and leather.
100% Nebbiolo.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews….
The 2013 Barbaresco is sweet, candied and perfumed, with striking aromatics, silky tannins and exceptional finesse. Just bottled, the 2013 is shaping up to be a real jewel of a wine. This is a wonderfully complete, impeccable Barbaresco from the Rocca family. Specifically, the 2013 is more finely cut and delineated than the 2012 tasted alongside it. Drink 2017-2033.
