Deep dark red colour with a dark red to brick red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets and dark cherries are intermixed with a distinct meatiness overlaid by toasty clove like characters and spicy end notes. Medium weighted and supplely textured the palate has flavours of savoury dried dark cherries, meaty characters, clove and spicy cedar. Good power with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of dried herbs, meaty characters, clove, stalk and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc 13%

Other Reviews….
60% Olive Tree Vineyard, 40% close planted; 100% whole bunch-fermented, 20 months barrel maturation (mainly used). Deeply coloured, but not star-bright; an ultra-complex and power-packed pinot, multi-plum flavours surrounded by a palisade of whole bunch stemmy notes. Cries out for time in bottle. Drink by 2025.
