2013 Arlewood Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red to brick red hue. The nose offers up aromas of blackcurrant infused with black olives, cedary tobacco characters, earth and spice. Medium bodied palate with blackcurrant and mulberry intermingling with cedary tobacco characters, scorched earth and spice. Supple mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins, yet possessing good structure. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberries, cedary tobacco characters, earthy black olives and spicy dried herbs.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.

Matured for 2 years in French barriques (50% new), so don't be surprised by the oak: this is a wine designed to stay, not sprint. Red and blue fruits have freshness, and sufficient tannins to provide enduring structure. Drink by 2033.
