2012 Yalumba Eden Valley Viognier

Fermented and matured for 10 months in older French oak barriques and puncheons. At final blending barrels that have not made the cut for Yalumba’s flagship Viognier, the Virgilius, are also included in the assemblage.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and watery hue. The nose is quite perfumed with ripe apricot top notes followed by some tropical fruits, honeysuckle and spice. Texturally full and rich the palate possesses mouthfilling flavours of ripe apricot and exotic tropical fruits on the turn along with some honeysuckle and a spicy finish. Excellent length with long luscious ripe apricot, honeysuckle and spice aftertaste.
