An Outstanding Syrah showcasing what the Mornington Peninsula is capable of doing with this varietal.

Superb opaque inky black purple colour with deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose exhibits aromas of liquorice and blackberry alongside some toasty oak notes followed by some meatiness and pepper showing a refined intensity. Fabulously concentrated and rich yet remaining light on its feet the palate possesses a refined beautifully textured mouthfeel with generous flavours of blackberries and liquorice overlaid by some meaty characters, subtle seamlessly integrated toasty oak and some blackpepper on the back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Powerful but graceful with very long aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, roasted meats, subtle toasty oak and blackpepper.
Extremely Limited Stocks.
Cellar 6-8 years (2019-2021).
Alc 14.5%

Other Reviews…
From two blocks on the main estate vineyard, hand-picked and open-fermented. Deep purple-crimson; the scented bouquet is an enticing start, and the richly robed, succulent, palate isn't an anticlimax; layers of concentrated black fruits are interwoven with quality French oak and ripe tannins provide an open texture. Drink by 2027.
