Yabby Lake winemaker Tom Carson is on a roll producing powerful Mornington Peninsula Pinots of great purity and character. Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with bright dark crimson hue. The nose displays perfumed dark cherry and violet scents followed by some toasty anise, meatiness and spice. Light to medium weight the palate possesses a fleshy mouthfeel with good richness delivering a generous savoury profile of ripe dark cherries and dark plum followed by a touch of anise, some meatiness, lightly toasted cedar and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power wave with long ripe dark cherry, dark plum, meatiness, subtle toasty oak and spicy anise aftertaste.

Other Reviews….
Outstanding purple-crimson colour; the fragrant bouquet has an exuberant display of plum and red cherry, the palate moving into another gear, retaining the fruit, but adding savoury complexity that invests it with quite exceptional length. Exemplary viticulture (Keith Harris) and winemaking (Tom Carson) at work. Drink by 2025.
