2012 Woody Nook Killdog Creek Tempranillo

Opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple hue. The nose is quite reserved with aromas of black cherries intermixed with sour cherries followed by a hint of liquorice and spice. Full bodied the palate has flavours of black cherries and dark chocolate followed by some vanillin oak with the fresh acidity being a touch prickly on the finish. Firm chalky tannins. Modest aftertaste of black cherries, chocolate bullets and spice.
