This outstanding 100% Cabernet Sauvignon was aged in a combination of French and American oak barrels of which 30% were new for a period of 17 months. Totally opaque midnight black colour with a deep dark crimson red black tinged hue. Inviting aromas of perfectly ripened blackcurrant and liquorice are followed by black cherry and subtle dark plum with underlying vanillin cedar and spice. Undeniably rich and full, yet poised and structured, delicious ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and black cherry flavours caress the palate and captivate the senses over a background of vanillin cedar, faint scorched earth and spice. There’s beautifully harmony between the powerful opulent fruit and underlying robust yet texturally polished tannins. Outstanding depth with a very long conclusion of perfectly ripened black currant, liquorice, black cherry, vanillin cedar and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 14.9%

Other Reviews….
This is a very structured and powerful cabernet sauvignon with chewy tannins yet polished and refined. Full body, with racy tannins and a long, long finish. Plenty of currant and mineral character. Better in 2015.
