2012 Villacampa del Marques Roble

A 100% Tempranillo that does not have the same degree of opulence or power as the 2011 but nonetheless is still a good follow up. Opaque black red colour with dark purple red hue. The nose reveals ripe black cherry top notes followed by some liquorice, dried meats, light earthiness and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses rich black cherry and liquorice flavours over some earth and spice with a chewy mouthfeel and dry finish. Solid chewy tannin structure. Aftertaste of black cherry, liquorice and spicy earth.
Cellar 4-5 years.
