2012 Torbreck The Gask Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black purple colour with very deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose offers up scents of liquorice interlaced with some black cherry and black plum underlined by some toasty oak and spice. The palate is rich but has more textural refinement and elegance than most of the other Torbreck offerings delivering flavours of liquorice, blackberry and black cherry overlaid by some toasty oak with a dry spicy finish. Sturdy yet velvet like tannins. Long liquorice, black cherry, toasty oak and spicy pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
