2012 Tim Adams The Fergus

A blend of Grenache, Tempranillo and Malbec that has been matured in a mixture of French and American oak for 24 months. Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Showing some restraint, aromas of black cherries, black raspberries, liquorice, earth and spice gradually emerge from the glass. Medium bodied and spicy the palate features generous dark raspberry and black cherry flavours alongside some liquorice and earth with a very spicy finish. Fleshy texture with very fine grained velvet like tannins. Spicy aftertaste of dark raspberries, black cherries, earth and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
