2012 Tim Adams Aberfeldy Shiraz

Matured for 24 months in American oak hogsheads. Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Expressive aromatics of ripe dark plum, blackberries, liquorice and choc mint arise from the glass followed by some toasty vanillin cedar and spice. Rich and full bodied the palate is flooded with dark fruit flavours of dark plum, blackberries and liquorice over a background of choc mint, vanillin cedar and spice. Powerful, yet refined with an opulent mouthfeel and velvety tannins that have a strong underlying structure. Superb length finishing with a long conclusion of dark plum, dark chocolate, liquorice, vanillin cedar and subtle mint.
