2012 Te Mata Estate Vineyards Syrah

This Syrah includes a splash of Viognier. Deep dark red colour with a tinge of black and bright crimson red purple hue. The nose displays a refined sniff of clove, liquorice and subtle violets followed by some meaty characters and spice. Light to medium weight the palate has a very elegant and softly textured profile of liquorice, dried meats and subtle clove with a dry spicy finish. Very fine grained tannins with aftertaste of spicy clove, dried meats and subtle liquorice. A light pretty style of Syrah.
