The 2012 vintage of Tatiarra’s Cambrian Shiraz is a wonderful expression of Heathcote’s terrior delivering a typically powerful and structured wine with many years of drinking pleasure ahead of it. The combination of good spring rains, a generally mild summer with cool nights and low yields produced concentrated flavour filled berries with excellent natural acidity.

‘Ranked equal top in its category at the Winestate World’s Greatest Shiraz Challenge equalling or bettering some of the biggest iconic wines from Australia, South Africa and Europe. Ridiculous value for a Heathcote Shiraz of this quality’

Superb inky black crimson colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. The nose offers up pronounced aromas of ripe blackberries and liquorice followed by some dark plum with underlying vanillin oak intermixed with a touch of meatiness and some light peppery end notes. On the palate a wealth of fruit overlays a meaty rock like backbone with totally mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, blackberries and dark plum followed by some meatiness, vanillin oak and blackpepper. The huge core of fruit cleverly concealing the solid rock like structure of acid and tannin. Outstanding length with a long persistent aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, dried meats, vanillin oak and blackpepper. 2012 sees the new repositioned price sustained making this a ridiculously good value, if not the very best buy in Heathcote Shiraz today.
