Matured in new to four year old French barriques for 12 months. Semi translucent very dark crimson red colour with a crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe dark cherries, plum and strawberry conserve are followed by a touch of stalkiness and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight showing good power, richness and a supple like mouthfeel the palate features generous flavours of ripe dark cherries, strawberries and plum over meaty like characters and spicy cedar. Very fine grained beautifully integrated tannins finishing long with ripe dark cherries, strawberries, meatiness and spicy cedar. Very savoury offering immediate appeal.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
