2012 RockBare Chardonnay

This excellent fresh fruit driven style of Chardonnay underwent cool fermentation with 100% natural yeast to add texture and funk, with 25% matured in large format oak and the balance in stainless steel. Lees were stirred twice per week for 6 months to provide textural richness.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with watery hue and a faint greenish tinge around the edges. The nose displays fresh white peach top notes followed by some tropical fruits, melon and citrus. Generously flavoured the palate is dominated by ripe white peach and tropical fruits followed by some citrus and a hint of cashew. Good mouthfeel with clean dry finish. Very good length with aftertaste of ripe white peach, tropical fruits, subtle cashew and spice.
