2012 Renato Ratti Barbera d'Alba

Near opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark purple red hue. Perfumed dark and black cherry scents are intermixed with hints of incense followed by some subtle new leather and light spicy earth nuances. Medium weight the palate has a savoury richness with flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plum over some subtle new leather and spice. Soft very fine grained tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, new leather, light earth and spice.
