2012 Reillys Dry Land Old Bush Vine Grenache

Sourced from vines planted in 1919 the resultant wine was matured in a combination of French and American oak for 2 years. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. On the nose ripe dark raspberry top notes are followed by some plum jam, confectionary and spice. Big, ripe and powerful in the mouth the palate has a joosy generous texture with bold flavours of rich black raspberries and black cherries followed by some liquorice, faint earth and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with long spicy black raspberry, liquorice and light earth aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
