2012 Pondalowie Vineyards Shiraz

Matured in a combination of French and American oak. Totally opaque inky black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple hue. The nose reveals aromas of ripe blackberry and liquorice over a background of vanillin oak and confectionary. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses ripe blackberry and liquorice flavours over some toasty oak and vanillin confectionary. Sturdy but very fine grained tannins with an aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, vanillin oak, confectionary and spice.
Cellar 5-6 years.
