2012 PHI Syrah Grenache Mourvedre

This wine is a result of a partnership between De Bortoli and Shelmerdine. Deep dark red black colour with a crimson red hue. Lifted black raspberry and dark plum aromas are followed by a hint of liquorice, dried meats, scorched earth and spice. Medium weight with a relatively soft mouthfeel and spicy finish the palate features flavours of black raspberries, liquorice and dark plums over some meaty earth like characters and spice. Slightly dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy black raspberries, liquorice, dried meats and earth.
Cellar 3-4 years.
