2012 Pewsey Vale The Contours Riesling

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive tinge of green around the edges and a watery hue. Intense citrus and toast characters overlay faint hints of lemon butter and dried honey with a whiff of kerosene and spice present as end notes. Still possessing plenty of freshness lime and citrus flavours meld into subtle notions of dried honey, oily toast, lemon butter and light spicy kerosene characters. An oily textured mid palate offset by punchy acidity on the dry finish. Excellent concentration and length with a long aftertaste of lime, citrus, toast, subtle dried honey, hints of lemon butter and spicy kerosene infusions.
