2012 Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir

Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark crimson red hue showing excellent depth. Perfumed aromatics of violets intermixed with ripe dark cherries and dark plum are overlaid by toasty anise like characters followed by spice end notes. Rich and medium weighted the palate possesses generous flavours of spicy ripe dark cherries and dark plum intertwined with some anise which overlays a backdrop of toasty oak. Excellent power wave with solid but fine grained tannins. Very long aftertaste of spicy ripe dark cherries, dark plum, anise and toasty oak.
Cellar 6-8 years.
