2012 Paringa Estate Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red to brick red hue. Pronounced aromas of dark cherries, strawberries and plum laced with anise are followed by a subtle meatiness and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight and elegantly textured the palate has flavours of spicy dark cherries and plums intermixed with meaty characters, a hint of anise and spicy cedar. It doesn’t have the power or depth expected of this estate. Fine grained tannins finishing with a medium to long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, plum, some meatiness and spicy cedar.
