2012 Olivier Leflaive Rully 1er Cru Les Cloux

Based in the Cote Chalonnaise, the wines from Rully are often seen as fresh and easy drinking, but the 1er Cru wines can offer more than enough stuffing to warrant a few extra years of cellaring. Les Cloux vineyard is close to the town of Rully with an easterly aspect.

Very fleshy, yet offset by lively acidity, this white evokes melon and peach flavors, offering a hint of white pepper. Tails off on the finish. Drink now through 2017. –BS
