2012 O'Leary Walker Wyebo Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black crimson colour with a deep dark crimson red black tinged hue. Intense aromas of ripe blackberries and liquorice are followed by some black cherries, vanillin cedar and light meatiness with pepper end notes. An excellent sniff that will only get better with bottle age and build further complexity. Possessing superb richness and concentration but far from heavy the palate delivers sumptuous liquorice and blackberry flavours over some black cherries, vanillin confectionary and blackpepper. Sturdy but very fine grained tannins provide an anchor to the waves of cascading fruit. Outstanding power with a long liquorice, blackberry, vanillin confectionary, subtle meatiness and pepper aftertaste.
