2012 Ngeringa Syrah

Opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple red hue. The nose shows good perfumed lift with aromas of liquorice and black cherries overlaid by smoky cedar and some subtle meatiness with blackpepper end notes. Medium weight with good savoury richness and a meaty mouthfeel the palate has flavours of liquorice, black cherries and blackpepper followed by some smoky cedar, dried meats and spice. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins that have good underlying structure. Long peppery aftertaste of liquorice, dried meats, spice and smoky cedar. An elegant, spicy, meaty textured Syrah.
Cellar 5-6 years.
