2012 Mr Riggs Montepulciano

Excellent totally opaque inky black purple colour with deep dark purple black tinged hue. The nose has youthful aromas of inky dark cherries, a hint of liquorice, earthiness and spice. Medium bodied the palate is filled with joosy dark cherry and plum flavours followed by a touch of liquorice with some subtle earthiness and spice on the back palate. Fine grained tannins with aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plum, light earth and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
