2012 Mongeard Mugneret Vosne Romanee

Semi translucent dark red colour with a crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets and red cherries intermingle with some strawberry overtones followed by some subtle meatiness, fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Light weight with a supple texture and ample richness the palate features a savoury flavour profile of red cherries alongside some sour cherries, delicate stalk, meaty characters and spicy cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Good power wave with a medium to long red cherry, stalky sour cherry, dried meats and spicy cedar aftertaste.
