This opulent blend is produced from 69% Shiraz, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot with maturation taking place in a combination 96% American and 4% French oak using 56% new and 44% one year old barrels.
Totally opaque black dark red colour with deep dark red dark purple hue. Lifted aromas of ripe blackberry, dark plum and liquorice emerge on the nose which shows excellent intensity followed by some toasty vanillin oak and spice nuances. Big bold succulent flavours of ripe blackberry, cassis and dark plum burst onto the palate with some toasty oak and spice on the back palate. Voluptuously textured with velvet smooth tannins. Long flamboyant aftertaste of ripe blackberry, cassis, dark plum, toasty oak and spice.
