2012 Massoni Pinot Noir

Matured in French oak barriques for 14 months. Semi translucent dark red colour with a crimson red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of dark cherries and subtle anise intermixed with a hint of clove followed by some spicy cedar end notes. Light to medium weight with very good richness the palate features a savoury flavour profile of dark cherries and plum interlaced with some anise over a background of meaty characters and spicy cedar. Excellent length with fine grained well integrated tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plums, anise, meaty cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
