2012 Longline Blood Knot Shiraz

The fruit for this Shiraz is sourced from McLaren Vale & the Adelaide Hills. Opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple hue. A little subdued nosing reveals scents of ripe blackberries, dark plums and subtle inky liquorice over some toasty vanillin oak and spice. Medium weight with plummy blackberry flavours to the fore followed by subtle liquorice, toasty cedar and pepper. Relatively tight in structure with fresh acidity and dryish, slightly chalky tannins. Modest aftertaste of inky blackberry, light liquorice, toasty cedar and pepper.
