2012 Linke Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very deep dark brick red hue. Lifted stewed fruit aromas are followed by ripe dark plum, a hint of liquorice, vanillin cedar and tobacco like characters. Big in weight, richness and texture the palate is a bit clumsy and lacks varietal character. Generous flavours of black plums and liquorice are overlaid by vanillin cedar and spice. Soft velvety tannins. Long aftertaste of stewed fruits, black plum, liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar. A big very ripe Cabernet that lacks varietal character and structure.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
