2012 Jones Road Nepean Pinot Noir

Semi translucent bright dark crimson red colour with a crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of ripe dark cherries and strawberries intermix with a hint of anise and violet followed by some subtle meaty cedar and spice. Light weight and elegant but generously flavoured with ripe dark cherry and strawberries underpinned by a faint touch of anise, some meatiness and spicy cedar. Very savoury and supple in the mouth. Slightly dryish finish with very fine grained beautifully integrated tannins showing excellent balance with the fruit and acidity. Long ripe dark cherry, subtle anise, dried meats and spicy cedar aftertaste.
