Ben Jeanneret calls this curiously named wine 'Rank & File'. It's what Shiraz represents to him - the heart and soul of the Australian wine industry. Sourced from five different vineyards the fruit for this wine was matured in a mixture of French and American oak of which 16% was new.

‘Plush and sumptuous with serious power and abundant richness.’

Totally opaque inky black dark purple colour with deep dark purple black tinged hue. Nosing reveals black plum top notes alongside some black cherry and liquorice with spice end notes. Ultra rich, very full bodied and possessing a thick voluptuous texture the palate features opulent flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries and black cherries over some toasty vanillin oak and spice. Superb length with velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of liquorice, ripe blackberries, black cherries, toasty vanillin oak and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2017-2018).
Alc 15.5%
