The fruit for this Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon is selected from old vine material located at Hollick’s Wilgha and Neilson's Block vineyards at the cooler, southern end of Coonawarra. These vineyards were originally planted by Ian and Wendy Hollick in the 1970’s and early 1980’s. Maturation took place in French oak (30% new) for a period of 20 months.

Excellent colour – totally opaque black dark crimson red core with dark crimson red hue. The nose displays lifted top notes of ripe blackcurrant intermixed with violets followed by hints of bay leaf and some subtle cedar and spice end notes. The palate possesses excellent concentration with mouthfilling flavours of rich blackcurrant fruits over some bay leaf, cedary tobacco like characters and spice. A solid tannin structure provides the necessary framework. Excellent persistence with long aftertaste of blackcurrant, subtle bay leaf and spicy cedary tobacco.
Cellar 5-6 years (2019-2020).
