Despite late September frosts reducing yields between 10-40%, depending on the vineyard, 2012 was one of the best vintages in a long time for Langhorne Creek with a long and relatively cool ripening season resulting in a full range of fruit flavours. Consistently ranked as one of the best value Cabernets this excellent 2012 example was matured in a combination of older French (80%) and American (20%) oak for a period of 12 months.

Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep dark crimson red hue.The nose reveals an intriguing mix of dark mulberry and blackcurrant fruit aromas overlaid by some bay leaf, tobacco and spicy cedar characters. Medium to full bodied ripe blackcurrant and dark mulberry flavours are to the fore followed by a touch of choc mint, some cedary tobacco like qualities and spice. Excellent richness with very fine grained tannin structure and medium to long blackcurrant, spicy cedar and light tobacco aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years (2019-2020).
