Established by the Sheedy family in 1997, Richard Sheedy gained his experience as winemaker/General Manager at Elderton and previously at St Hallett Wines - perfect credentials for creating opulent Barossa Shiraz's. 2012 saw the return of ideal growing conditions in the Barossa with yields down between 20-25% resulting in concentrated fruit. Maturation took place in a combination of American and French oak hogsheads for 24 months.

Dense, powerful, rich and voluptuously textured, exactly as Barossa Shiraz should be

Magnificent colour saturation displaying a midnight black core and a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries, dark plum and dark chocolate ooze from the glass overlaying a spicy vanillin oak background. Full and opulent, rich luscious flavours of dark chocolates, blackberries, liquorice and dark plums cascade across the palate in flamboyant fashion followed by some toasty vanillin oak and spice. Plush, silky smooth tannins finishing with a long aftertaste of liquorice, blackberries, dark chocolate and spicy vanillin oak.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc 14.5%
