2012 Gioiello Estate Merlot

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of ripe mulberries and red currants which run into dusty vanillin cedar with hints of black olives and spice as end notes. Medium bodied with good generosity of dark mulberry and red to blackcurrant fruits over earth, vanillin cedar and spice. Dryish finish with slightly furry but fine grained tannins. Concludes with an aftertaste of ripe mulberries, red to blackcurrant fruit, earth, vanillin cedar and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
