A 50/50 blend of fruit from the Yarra Valley and Beechworth this wine is tank fermented and then transferred to French oak, of which approximately 25% is new, and matured for a period of 16 months.

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with a slight tinge of black around the edges and dark red hue. Very perfumed the nose of this Pinot delivers aromatics of ripe dark cherries and strawberries overlaid by some clove with trailing meatiness and spicy toasted oak nuances. Light to medium weight the palate possesses rich dark cherry flavours followed by some dried meat characters, clove and spicy cedar. Dryish finish with fine grained but solidly built tannins. Excellent power with long aftertaste of ripe dark to black cherries, dried meats and spicy toasty cedar.
