2012 Fowles Wine The Exception Cabernet Malbec

Matured for 16 months in new French oak 500 litre puncheons. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep very dark red hue. Refined scents of blackcurrant and dark cherries merge into subtle cigar box and earthy dried herbs with spice end notes. Elegant, earthy blackcurrant and dark cherry flavours meld into cedary tobacco and dried herb characters with subtle spice ensuing. Slightly dryish, structured tannins but very fine grained. Aftertaste of red and blackcurrant laced with earthy cigar box characters, dried herbs and spicy black olives.
Cellar 6-8 years.
