'A Beautiful Blend of Grenache and Shiraz that delivers Fantastic Value'
A blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Shiraz with the Grenache component coming from 80+ year old vines. Maturation took place in second use American oak hogsheads for a period of 9 months. Opaque black purple colour with a dark purple hue. Nosing reveals aromas of black raspberries and liquorice followed by some confectionary, subtle earth and spice. The palate boasts explosive richness along with opulent flavours of black raspberries, liquorice and confectionary swamping the front palate over a background of earth and a spicy peppered finish. Plush, fleshy texture with solid very fine grained tannins taking on a velvety appearance. Outstanding depth with a long sumptuous aftertaste of black raspberry, plum, liquorice, confectionary and spicy pepper.
