2012 Elio Perrone Tasmorcan Barbera d'Asti

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a bright crimson purple hue. The nose offers up a youthful aromatic profile of inky freshly crushed dark cherries, some scorched earth and spice. Soft with light to medium body weight the palate possesses generous fruity flavours of ripe dark cherries and dark plum followed by a faint touch of earth and spice. Soft very fine grained tannins. Joosy aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, dark plum and light spicy earth.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
