2012 Domaine de Pierredon Cotes du Rhone

Opaque dark purple black colour with deep dark purple hue. On the nose ripe black cherry top notes are followed by some liquorice, incense, meatiness and spice. Quite full bodied and joosy like the palate is filled with inky black cherry and black raspberry flavours alongside nuances of liquorice, meatiness and pepper. Chewy mouthfeel with solid but fine grained tannins. Long peppery black cherry, liquorice and dried meats aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
