2012 Cradle of Hills Darkside Shiraz Mourvedre

Aged for 30 months in seasoned oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced ripe blackberry and liquorice scents melt into some dark chocolate, vanillin oak and spicy earth notes. Full bodied and seductively rich the palate is filled with mouthfillng flavours of succulent ripe blackberry, dark chocolate and liquorice flavours over some vanillin oak and spice. Plush fleshy textural feel with velvety yet robust tannins firming things up on the finish. Long aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, dark chocolate, earthy vanillin oak and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
