2012 Chalk Hill Shiraz

Superb colour saturation displaying a totally opaque inky black core and deep dark purple black hue. The nose offers up aromas of liquorice and ripe blackberry alongside some toasty oak with spice end notes. Big and opulent the palate opens with rich luscious flavours of liquorice and ripe blackberry with some underlying toasty oak and a peppery finish. Plush texture with very fine grained almost velvet like tannins. Excellent length with long liquorice, ripe blackberry, toasty oak and blackpepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
