2012 Carlei Green Vineyards Pinot Noir

Aged in a combination of new and older French oak for 12 months. Deep very dark red colour with a deep brick red hue. Nosing reveals plummy sour cherry aromas with a hint of liquorice also present over some earthy cedar and spice. Plummy stewed fruit aromas dominate the palate with a sense of sourness on the finish. Earth and spicy cedar are also present. Bright acidity and fine grained tannins. Short aftertaste of sour and stewed cherries, earthy cedar and spice. Pass.
